Thomas Rhett released the video for his latest single “Marry Me” two days ago, and with over 1 million views it is already proving to be a hit. The song is one of the most heart wrenching tracks that Rhett has ever released and is a far cry from the majority of his music which looks into the beauty of love. Like the song itself, the video is just as powerful and captures the meaning perfectly.
The video was directed by TK McKamy and shows the perfect beginning to a beautiful love, a young boy meets a young girl and as they grow up together the viewer can see the potential of the perfect romance. Somehow it never comes to fruition and the ending is nothing short of devastating. The video uses the lyrics from the songs to help envisage the story with the girl and boy at a diner about to kiss and Sam (the man in the story) along drinking a stiff drink out of a flask.
“Marry Me” was co-written by Rhett, Ashley Gorley, Jesse Frasure and Shane McAnally and is the third single from his latest album Life Changes. He will be launching his tour by the same name in the new year.
