Morgan Evans new single “I Do” is the latest in a line of songs to pay homage to the one they love and in Evans case it is his new wife Kelsea Ballerini. Evans revealed the muse for the single in a caption on a recent Instagram post, “Wrote it about my girlfriend. Recorded it about my fiance’. Releasing it about my wife.”
The song shows the true level of love and devotion to Ballerini with lines such as “Just when I think it couldn’t get any better / To be the man standing in my shoes / There you go walking in in a new dress / Saying do you like this / And baby I do / Wanna hold you forever / No I ain’t ever been so sure / Just when I think I couldn’t love you any more / Baby, I do.” The ballad has a truly heartwarming feel to it and creates a great sense of passion and devotion throughout the song.
Evan and Ballerini tied the know on December 2nd in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Since their first meeting, the pair have openly stated their love for one another and prove the idea behind love at first sight. “We’re each other’s biggest fans,” she says in a recent interview with Taste of Country, “And so we’re able to be transparent with each other. And it’s cool because he has helped me with live music because he’s been touring since he was 14, and I help him with U.S. radio because I’ve been doing it for a couple of years. … We’re just able to help each other in our strengths.”
